slide share test

I am thinking about shopping tools and things to help us during this economy to make ends meet and even the playing field.  Here are a few sites on a preliminary search that peaked my interest. $1.00 savings over a course of 52 weeks starts to add up pretty fast.

ThisNext – is social consumption site that allows you to bookmark and share your purchases. On a high-level review it does not seem to help you get the best price though so that might be something to think about. Ap perhaps? The items that seem to be getting listed are high-end. Your not going to find the cost of milk so you can comparison shop.

Pricewatch – seems to be more like it with the categories up front. It’s more techno-centric though and not really for everyday needs.

www.shopping.com – Is more directory style. Not really user generated as far as I can tell. I think there is a gap here.

TheStreet.com Tools – I really like the variety of pricing tools on Mad Money Cramer’s site. He gets it and offers up  a bunch of ways for you manage your budget. this one is starting to get off topic a little bit but on a macro level perfectly in tune to help you figure out your mortgage and car payements. Basically  what you can afford to spend so you can save and live better. This is a work in progress.

FORTUNE COOKIE QUOTE: We all want stuff and we all need stuff but it ‘s best to figure out the difference between need and want.
